"This CliftonStrengths team workshop was conducted for the distribution team from AIA Singapore. There were 21 participants. The session used Gallup's CliftonStrengths profiling tool alongside ontological coaching to help the individuals identify their dominant talent themes and explore how to apply them in their marketing work. Participants left with deeper self-awareness and a shared strengths language to strengthen team collaboration.

The Engagement:

On 27 May 2016, Victor delivered a full-day customised CliftonStrengths Team Workshop for the Distribution Team from AIA in Singapore. Twenty-one participants attended the session, led by Head of Distribution Corrine Ee.

The Challenge:

AIA's Distribution Team needed a shared framework for understanding individual working styles, improving communication across diverse talent profiles, and building the collaborative foundation needed for a high-performing distribution team.

The Approach:

Victor structured the full day into two distinct phases:

Morning: Strengths Fundamentals and the Strengths Language
Participants were introduced to their individual CliftonStrengths talent themes through interactive activities and facilitated discussions. The focus was on building genuine understanding of each person's unique themes and how they shape the way individuals work and relate to one another.

Afternoon: Team Dynamics and Collaboration
The afternoon went deeper into team application - covering the four domains of team strengths, how individual talent themes influence communication styles, and how certain themes naturally complement each other while others can create tensions and conflicts when misunderstood. Victor integrated group coaching, experiential activities, and individual reflections throughout, drawing on his integrated CliftonStrengths and ontological coaching approach to help participants move from awareness to behavioural insight.

Outcomes:

Participants left with greater self-awareness, a shared strengths language, and practical insights for strengthening collaboration and communication across AIA's Distribution Team — with benefits extending to both their professional and personal lives.
