Singapore CliftonStrengths Teachers Professional Development Workshop

Summary:
This was a half day 4 hours Singapore CliftonStrengths teachers professional development workshop for 5 new staff from Lakeside Primary School. The workshop was held in the school on 03 June 2026. This session was arranged as part of the school’s commitment to building a Strengths-based culture. The 5 staff, including a new Vice Principal, joined the school in 2026 and this professional development workshop was arranged so that the new and old staff can align on the common language of strengths.

Even though it was a small group, the enthusiasm was keenly felt. We unpacked their top 10 dominant talent themes and covered the strengths fundamentals during the first part of the session. Through a group coaching format, we did several experiential activities and group conversations facilitated to help the 5 staff learn and understand how their individual CliftonStrengths themes shape the way they work, teach and relate to colleagues and students.

We also covered the four domains of team strengths to understand working in teams. We covered the importance of emotional intelligence and how important it is to regulate our talents as educators. Lots of time and deep conversations were around our blindspots and coping with pressure and stress. The educators walked away with practical insights and applications on how they can sharpen their talents and be more productive as educators.

Participants left with greater self-awareness and practical insights. 100% of the staff felt that the goals and objectives of the workshop were clearly met. I really enjoy the intimate sharing of the small group and we had a lot of time to go deep.
