Singapore CliftonStrengths Coaching Skills Workshop for Educators

"This CliftonStrengths Coaching Skills workshop was conducted for a group of 26 educators in a Singapore Primary School. The session used Gallup's CliftonStrengths profiling tool alongside ontological coaching to help participants gain coaching skills using templated tools for work reviews, developmental and performance conversations. This was designed as part of a focus toward Competency Driven Growth (CDG). Participants left with coaching skills they can immediately apply and use in their upcoming work reviews with their staff.

Summary:
This 3 hours CliftonStrengths Coaching Skills workshop was delivered on 04 June 2026 for 26 key personnels from Pei Hwa Presbyterian. There was a focus on Competency Driven Growth and this coaching skills workshop was designed to train the educators to grow in their coaching skills.

The goal was to use CliftonStrengths in developmental conversations and work reviews. The session employed the use of simple, templated coaching tools that the educators can immediately apply after the training. I did a coaching demo with the help of my colleague, David Gil, on how to use the templated tools for the different conversations. Using the tools, I did a live coaching on David and I actually enjoyed the coaching conversation. The participants could tell it was transparent, sincere and spontaneous. Following the demo, the educators were given time to practice. The entire session focused on practical applications and the teachings were concise and brief.

I had several immediate positive feedback and I was very energized by the workshop. Participants left with coaching skills that they can immediately apply for the next work review and generate strengths-based conversations moving forward.
