Summary:
This was the first of three CliftonStrengths (former StrengthsFinder) Team workshop customized for the Branding, Marketing, Sales, Consumer Services (BMSC) team from Marriott International. This first session was arranged for the BMSC team based in Shanghai, China. The session was held in the Marriott Shanghai office on 10 November 2017. We had 50 participants in this workshop and we broke the workshop into two sessions of 25 participants each, one group participated in the morning and the other in the afternoon session. This was arranged for the purpose of stronger engagement and maximum participation.
Context:
This series of workshop was arranged after a successful delivery of the CliftonStrengths Leadership Workshop for the BMSC Management team in Sanya, China. Chief Marketing Officer, Peggy Hoe decided that the staff from BMSC should be trained to understand and apply their strengths for the BMSC work.
So the objective of the series of workshops across Asia was really to help the team members understand each other’s working style, helping participants understand how their individual CliftonStrengths themes shape the way they work and relate to one another. We focused on the top 10 strengths on how the talent themes contributed to the specific work in BMSC. We also covered some of the blindspots. Participants left with greater self-awareness and practical insights for strengthening collaboration within their teams.
