The Engagement:

Victor was commissioned by the Group CEO of Pico Art International to design and deliver a bespoke full day CliftonStrengths leadership development session for the APAC senior leadership team, held at Pico's Singapore office. The session took place on 9 July 2026. Preparation spanned several weeks — analysing individual leader’s strengths data, understanding the business context, and designing a session tailored specifically and precisely to the needs and requirements.

The Brief:

The Group CEO came with specific, clear objectives:

  • Every APAC senior leader must leave the session with clear distinctions - knowing and owning their unique talents and how their talents can be applied to leadership.

  • The leaders must understand how the CEO leads the business specifically, and how the CEO hopes to empower the leaders to lead the APAC business.

  • The leaders to create stronger partnerships across the APAC businesses starting from understanding and genuinely appreciating the varied talents within the APAC leadership team and finding synergy.

The Approach:

Victor opened the session with CliftonStrengths fundamentals before moving into the core of the leadership work — exploration of the usage of talents and specific leadership competencies. Each leader was coached to identify and articulate how they used their distinct strengths combination to do the different leadership work in Pico. The outcome is seeing and recognizing what empowers each person uniquely as a leader, and how each person does a similar leadership work distinctly and differently.

Rather than a generic strengths session, the session was also designed with a group coaching component to help each leader leave with a personalised insight into how they do their leadership work. There was a deliberate segment to talk about how each leader see and do trust building leadership work distinctly. There was also time given to unpack leadership blindspots and three specific steps to navigate the blindspots. In unpacking the strengths insights, the CEO was also invited to share and receive questions on how she leads and makes business decisions.

Outcomes:

Participants left with greater leadership self-awareness and practical insights for strengthening their leadership capacity. The full day session created visible energy and engagement throughout - each leader gaining both individual clarity and a deeper appreciation of the talent diversity within the APAC leadership team.
