Singapore CliftonStrengths Allied Educators Workshop for AIPS

This CliftonStrengths Professional Development workshop was conducted for a group of 11 Singapore allied educators from Ahmad Ibrahim Primary School, held on 25 June 2026. The session used Gallup's CliftonStrengths profiling tool to help participants gain insights into their unique talent themes. Participants left with greater ownership of their talent themes and how they can use their talents as allied educators to serve the students in the primary school.

Summary:
This was a half day 4 hours Singapore CliftonStrengths professional development workshop for 11 Allied Educators from Ahmad Ibrahim Primay School. The allied educators include counsellors, special needs education officers (SENO) and student welfare officers. The workshop was held in the school premises on 25 June 2026.

This was a unique arrangement as it is commonly established that there are not many trainings and courses for allied educators compared to the teachers. In this regard, I could see the enthusiasm shown by the participants right from the beginning. It helped that the allied educators also came for this workshop after a fresh break from the June school holidays break.

We started off with an icre-breaker and there were lots of laughter that came from the activity. We focused on unpacking the individual top 5 talent themes for the 11 participants and we had several rounds of group conversations. Each time we had the group conversation, we had 1 counsellor, 1 SENO and 1 of the year heads who worked closely with the allied educators.

The group conversations facilitated the participants to learn and understand how their individual CliftonStrengths themes shape the way they work with the parents, form teachers and the students in the school.

We did some group coaching work and I coached the participants to validate each other’s unique contributions. We finished up with a segment on strengths and trust. The participants did an activity that highlighted the unique trust assessment each person needs. The activity was designed to strengthen communication between the participants as they explore how to deepen trust and partnerships in a very practical level.

The allied educators walked away with practical insights and applications on how they can sharpen their talents and be more productive. The feedback I received from the workshop was phenomenal and the feedback corresponded with my personal experience as I finished the session more energized than when I had started.
