CliftonStrengths Leadership Workshop for VF Asia - Hong Kong
"This CliftonStrengths leadership workshop was conducted for a senior leadership team from VF Corporation in Hong Kong. This session used Gallup's CliftonStrengths profiling tool to help leaders identify their dominant talent themes and explore how to apply them in their business strategies and team leadership. Participants left with deeper self-awareness and a shared strengths language to strengthen team collaboration.
The Engagement:
In this two-day CliftonStrengths Leadership Workshop, on May 2015, Victor worked with a group of 16 senior leaders from the Jeanswear Group, VF Asia based in Hong Kong. This was VF's first CliftonStrengths engagement — leaders were introduced to the CliftonStrengths framework for the very first time. The workshop was fully customised for VF Asia's leadership context and organisational culture.
The Challenge:
The senior leadership team were navigating a period of significant organisational growth and needed a shared language for leadership, collaboration, and communication across diverse teams and functions.
What we covered:
Day 1 — Strengths Fundamentals and the Strengths Language
Leaders were introduced to their individual CliftonStrengths talent themes and explored how those themes shape the way they work, lead, and relate to one another. Through facilitated discussions and experiential activities, participants built a common language for strengths-based collaboration.
Day 2 — Team Dynamics and Leadership Capacity
Victor's integrated CliftonStrengths and ontological coaching approach shaped the second day — moving participants from self-awareness to behavioural insight and practical leadership application. We explored the four domains of leadership, how leaders can leverage each other's strengths for strategic partnerships, the role of trust in teams, and how individual strengths powerfully influence leadership and communication style. Group coaching, facilitated discussions, and individual reflections were woven throughout.
Outcomes:
Participants left with greater self-awareness, a shared strengths language, and practical insights for developing their individual and collective leadership capacities across the Jeanswear team from VF Asia.
