Strengths Coaching Certification Course Day 3

Being an Activator

It’s been 2 weeks since the completion of the 3 days strengths coaching certification course. I have had time to debrief myself and to reflect on the experience.

When the idea was first mooted, my Activator came alive. I saw all the possibilities. I could imagine what Yeang Cherng and I could bring to the table with our combined experiences, knowledge and skills.

I imagined that the course will have a very different experience from the typical strengths workshop. I imagined that the opportunity will give us greater autonomy and space to integrate the ontological and strengths lens into the program design.

Using Systems thinking as the backdrop, and wearing the ontological lens as coaches, we adopted a different approach and structure in the 3 days course.

For me, it was 3 full days filled with personal stories and coaching conversations - battle scars of leadership, fears and frustrations of team management, student management, parenting. The authenticity from different individuals created a safe space to learn.

Could the course be improved? Definitely!

Was it a success? Definitely!

How much did starting this coaching program energize the Activator? 100/10

Looking forward to continue this in 2026 and creating version 2.0

Strengths Coaching Certification Course Day 2

Day 2 ended on a high as we practised 2 key strengths coaching tools - Strengths-based strategies for success as well as the ICU feedback framework of catching people doing right. The two tools are fundamental building blocks for strengths-based coaching and we were glad that the participants were able to experience the usefulness of the tools.

Strengths Coaching Certification Course Day 1

Day 1/3 completed.

Day 1 was delightful. We ease into the fundamentals of strengths based coaching and there was great energy in the room.

What stood out most for me was how impactful coaching can be when we choose to suspend our judgment and sustain a little more curiosity.

“What makes you choose this and not that?”

“What other strengths might also be present?”

“What separates your dominant and supporting talents?”

Looking forward to more learning!

CliftonStrengths in Jakarta Indoneisa - Team Coaching & Workshop for Socomec

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 “𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐄𝐑?”

In many computer games including Pokémon or Brawl Stars, characters often have the ability to power up and finally unleash their “SUPER”. In some sense, this idea reflects our own talents as well.

I’m a catalyst. I enjoy helping participants discover their talents, find the spark they need in a workshop setting. I do that on a regular basis and some are large groups.

My “SUPER” is different. 🌟

In some sense, the unlocking requires me to work with a smaller group (not larger than 15pax). I combine facilitation with teamcoaching. I often feel like this is when my “SUPER” is unleashed. 💥
With smaller groups, I have time to go deeper. I can coach and I can call out others’ “SUPER”. I love seeing the delight and joy when I do that.

I was very energized when I travelled from Singapore to Jakarta. This CliftonStrengths session was for a selected group of six individuals from different countries. Participants were from Singapore, Sri Lanka, India and China.

The individuals were coming together for the first time to connect face to face and to work on a specific project. My goal was to help them understand their talents and to use them collectively and collaboratively.

I had great fun! 🤩

Individualized 1-1 CliftonStrengths Coaching

[Bringing Hope and Courage]

I love #coaching because my personal mission is bringing hope and courage to those I meet. Coaching is one of the main avenues I do that.

To me, one of the key distinctions of coaching is that it is a specific conversation about exploring possibilities. It is shifting our attention from the problems faced to the possibilities that surround us.

As an #ontologicalcoach, I have witnessed huge transformation when people engage deep in the emotion of hope and explore possibilities for their own future.

As a cliftonstrengths coach, I have witnessed the joy and delight when people saw their strengths in a new light.

▶ Have you experienced the joy of exploring possibilities of your own future?

▶ Engage a coach with that purpose in mind and you will leave the conversation feeling hopeful.

▶ Coaching is not about problem solving though the process might entail that.

▶ Coaching is done to give you a pair of new eyes to see the world that you have not been seeing.

We had a super energizing conversation about her strengths.
