CliftonStrengths Team Building Workshop - EDB IT Division, Singapore
This CliftonStrengths team workshop was conducted for the Information Technology Division team from EDB, held in Changi Village in Singapore. The session used Gallup's CliftonStrengths profiling tool to help individuals identify their dominant talent themes and explore how to apply them in their work and collaboration across departments. Participants left with deeper self-awareness and a shared strengths language to strengthen team collaboration among the IT team.
The Engagement:
In January 2017, Victor delivered a CliftonStrengths Team Building Workshop for the IT Division of the Economic Development Board (EDB) in Singapore. The session was supported by a team of Gallup-certified coaches, ensuring every participant received the depth of attention the workshop required.
The Challenge:
EDB's IT Division needed a shared framework for understanding individual working styles, strengthening collaboration, and building team cohesion across a technically-driven government division.
The Approach:
The workshop opened with a powerful signal from the top - EDB's Chief Information Officer addressed the team directly, sharing his conviction that CliftonStrengths would be transformative for the division. This senior leadership endorsement set the tone and created an immediate openness and readiness to engage.
Victor then led the team through CliftonStrengths fundamentals and team dynamics - helping participants understand how their individual talent themes shape the way they work and relate to one another. The session balanced structured learning with experiential activities and facilitated discussions, creating high energy and genuine discovery throughout the day.
Outcomes:
Participants left with greater self-awareness, a shared strengths language, and practical insights for strengthening collaboration and leveraging each other's talents across EDB's IT Division.
