Strengths-Based Leadership Philosophy - a Culture of Honor
#Singapore #StrengthsFinder #Coaches
Our Belief is that strengths are built through a culture of honor. Without the ability to honor one another, strengths can be used selfishly and without consideration for others. Even though this is the busiest month for the team, we chose to put time aside to celebrate the birthday of our beloved team member, CliftonStrengths (former StrengthsFinder) Coach, Mandy Lin. Her bubbly and cheerful personality has brought a lot of fun to the team. Her Individualization, Empathy, Developer and Connectedness gave the team a stronger relational capacity. Most evidently, the average height of the team has increased with her around! We are definitely a much stronger team with her addition!

CliftonStrengths StrengthsFinder Couple Workshop (Singapore) - November 2016
#Singapore #CliftonStrengths #StrengthsFinder #Workshop
Conducted the last CliftonStrengths (former StrengthsFinder) Couple Workshop for 2016 in #Chinatown Singapore. It has been such a joy to run this program. Every single time I conduct such a workshop, it reminds me of why I do what I do. I give thanks for my own marriage and especially my own wife. Cos of her sacrifices, I can take a night out and continue to impact other couples. I believe that it is so important that couples build their relationship and household by leveraging each others' strengths while helping each other manage their weaknesses. As usual, we did many different learning activities to understand how it is important to have a paradigm shift from the deficit thinking model. The couples had quality time to dialogue how their strengths can serve one another. Truly, Strengths can powerfully contribute to a culture of honor and love among loved ones and family members. What a great way to end the evening!

China Shanghai Gallup StrengthsFinder Leadership Workshop - VF Asia (Day 2)
China Shanghai CliftonStrengths Gallup StrengthsFinder Leadership Day 2:
Summary of the 2 Full days of Training Workshop conducted for VF in Chinese together with fellow Singapore Gallup Certified Coach Mandy Lin. Day 2 was focused on team strengths and how the team can leverage on each other's strengths to grow in team performance. We discussed about partnerships. We discussed about leadership. We discussed about team engagement. We did many different learning activities and everyone was highly participative. By the end of the 2 days, I was very encouraged to receive many affirmations by a group of professional trainers. It is indeed such a joy to be able to use my own strengths to run training workshops for others.

China Shanghai CliftonStrengths (StrengthsFinder) Leadership Workshop - VF Asia (Day 1)
China Shanghai CliftonStrengths Gallup StrengthsFinder Leadership
Summary of the 2 Full days of Training Workshop conducted for VF in Chinese together with fellow Singapore Gallup Certified Coach Mandy Lin. The participants were all trainers within this Fortune 500 company so we felt lots of pressure! Day 1 was focused on learning about individual's strengths and focusing on name, claim and aim. It was quite challenging at first getting into the rhythm as I had a lot of questions about the different translations of the 34 Gallup StrengthsFinder themes. By the end of the day 1, everyone was highly engaged and excited about their own personal and professional development. I was most encouraged and humbled when the boss asked who felt that they had really benefitted by the end of day 1 and everyone raised their hands.

Singapore StrengthsFinder Personalized Coaching
Singapore #CliftonStrengths #Coaching
CliftonStrengths (former StrengthsFinder) Talent themes are neutral. They can be used in wise ways and be powerful instruments to impact others. Sometimes, they are used in not so wise ways and the results often are negative in nature. One of the benefits of coaching is to provide clues and guidance to help individuals aim their talent themes towards a positive outcome. And so I had a short meet up with Natali and we enjoyed a Singapore delicacy, Bak Ku Teh, together. More than just enjoying the food, we also discussed about how she can aim her strengths towards desirable outcomes. We discussed some potential blindspots as well. Nat gave me very valuable feedback about what she learnt and took away from our coaching conversation. She particularly felt she benefitted from some of the analogies I used to help her process her decision making. It was a fruitful meet up! From top professional and business leaders to young working adults, coaching others gives me joy and a huge sense of satisfaction!
