CliftonStrengths Leadership Workshop - PVH Sourcing Team, Hong Kong

Victor Seet facilitating CliftonStrengths team workshop for PVH Calvin Klein Tommy Hilfiger leaders with group discussions in Hong Kong

"This CliftonStrengths Leadership workshop was conducted for a group of 14 leaders from PVH, held in Hong Kong. The session used Gallup's CliftonStrengths profiling tool to help team members identify their dominant talent themes and explore how to apply them in their daily work. Participants left with deeper self-awareness and a shared strengths language for stronger partnerships and collaboration.

The Engagement:

On 8 January 2019, Victor delivered a full-day CliftonStrengths Leadership Workshop for fourteen leaders from the Sourcing team of PVH Far East Limited in Hong Kong. The team of leaders were made up of different nationalities and there was a desire to leverage strengths for stronger teamwork.

PVH is one of the world's largest fashion companies, owning globally recognised brands including Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. The Director of Human Resources also joined as a participant - reflecting the organisation's commitment to embedding CliftonStrengths at the leadership level.

The Challenge:

PVH's Sourcing leadership team needed a shared framework for understanding individual working styles, strengthening collaboration, and developing a more intentional strengths-based approach to leadership across a diverse, multilingual regional team.

The Approach:

Victor structured the day in two distinct phases:

Morning — Building the Strengths Language Victor helped leaders learn their individual CliftonStrengths talent themes through facilitated conversations that deepened mutual understanding of each person's unique profile. Recognising that English was not the first language for many participants, Victor took particular care to ensure every individual gained genuine ownership of their talent themes — adapting his facilitation style to make the strengths language fully accessible and personally meaningful for the whole group.

Afternoon — Team Application and Dynamics The afternoon unpacked the collective team strengths to understand team dynamics — covering the four domains of team strengths, complementary partnerships, and how strengths can be leveraged to manage conflicts. Exploring how individual themes shape working relationships and collaboration styles created a natural bridge between personal self-awareness and organisational effectiveness.

Outcomes:

Participants left with greater self-awareness, a shared strengths language, and practical insights for strengthening collaboration and navigating team dynamics across PVH's Sourcing leadership team in the Far East region.

What the Group Vice President said:

"There is great insight to the team and for the team. The team feels highly encouraged. Great facilitation of workshop by Victor! Extremely engaging and insightful!"Lamont Wharton, Group Vice President, Sourcing, PVH Far East Limited
