StrengthsFinder Leadership Workshop - Singapore SkillsFuture Program Oct 2017

CliftonStrengths (former StrengthsFinder) Leadership Workshop held in Singapore. This was a CliftonStrengths Leadership workshop open to the public and Singaporeans can use their #SkillsFuture credits. There were seven participants in this October run and it was a small but intimate setting. There were lots of discussion and it was very interactive. I especially enjoyed one sharing by a participant as he recalled how he felt he used his top 10 Strengths in a particular high point in his career and he shared with lots of passion. He enjoyed the leadership workshop so much that he shared he is going to share with his staff and encouraged his team to sign up for this course. What an encouragement!

For those who have never heard of SkillsFuture, this is a movement initiated by the Singapore government to enable all Singaporeans to develop to their fullest potential and to realize their aspirations by taking advantage of a wide range of learning opportunities. The aim of this particular Leadership program is to help participants understand how to use their full 34 CliftonStrengths profile results to be effective leaders in the marketplace.

CliftonStrengths (StrengthsFinder) Team Building Workshop - CDAC

CliftonStrengths (former StrengthsFinder) #Singapore #TeamBuilding workshop held at #ClarkeQuay for #CDAC. Using #CliftonStrengths assessment, the focus was on helping each individual in team gain greater awareness of each other’s strengths and build appreciation for one other. The CliftonStrengths workshop for this non-profit group was filled with mostly female participants and energy level was very high. I had a great partnership with Strengths coach Cindy Lee and  Vivian Liang. They led with great enthusiasm and passion. The participants gave good feedback too and we were very happy with the results.

CliftonStrengths (StrengthsFinder) Singapore Change Management Leadership Workshop Program - Merger

#Leadership #Workshop for student leaders from Serangoon Junior College. This was a follow-up to a previous #StrengthsFinder session done in May. There are many Singapore schools going through mergers. This school was one of those. We were brought in to help the 200 student leaders understand change management so as to lead others to remain positive when it gets trying and challenging. The session focused on helping student leaders understand how to deal with change with a positive attitude and how they can leverage on their strengths to make a difference. This has been a really interesting project and I’m very thankful for this opportunity. Looking forward to helping other Singapore schools manage similar merger situations!

Coaching Culture Workshop for Managers - VF (Hong Kong and China)

Coaching Culture Workshop completed! Using #CliftonStrengths), this 2 full days workshop focuses on helping #leaders implement a coaching framework towards their #leadership approach. Research has shown that teams with a coaching culture produce more engaged employees and better performing team members compared to teams that do not. This workshop is a pilot leadership program for a particular MNC client of ours to start its strengths-based leadership coaching culture. Am very encouraged to have a class filled with enthusiastic leaders so willing to practice coaching and to learn from one another. Had an awesome time! Back to #Singapore from #HKG

StrengthsFinder Career Development Workshop - MSF

At #Singapore #MSF running a #StrengthsFinder (#CliftonStrengths) #Career #Workshop #Program! This Strengths-Based Career Development Workshop program was part of a series of learning courses opened to sign up for the staff in the Ministry of Social and Family Development. We talked about the benefits of the Strengths-based approach as well as how StrengthsFinder can help people discover and understand their innate talents. Because of time constraints, the StrengthsFinder workshop was mainly designed to help people name and claim their top 5 StrengthsFinder themes. There were some good interaction between the participants who came from different departments. Overall, it was a session in which most participants feedback that it was very good but too short.

StrengthsFinder (#CliftonStrengths) Career Development Workshop Program Singapore

This CliftonStrengths career workshop was designed for a group of young working adults from Bethesda Pasir Ris Mission Church (non-profit). There were over 30 young adults. Some were still studying in university, some had just started work and some had been working for quite some time. The focus was on helping the individuals discover more of their own strengths, gain self awareness and understand how their strengths connect to their career. Many wanted to find out also how they can use their strengths to serve in the church as well.  There were lots of great interaction during the career workshop. We had a combined session in the morning before breaking out into 2 groups in the afternoon. Fellow colleagues and Gallup Certified Coaches Tan Meiling and Madelia Thia, took one group while I took another. The break out sessions allowed us to focus on different objectives to better cater to the needs of the participants. One of the surprise highlights was that I met a teacher whom I coached two years back and she was one of the participants in the workshop. It felt good to reconnect again and she shared a bit what she had been doing and how she used her strengths as a teacher.
