CliftonStrengths Leadership Workshop - NTU Shared Services Team, Malacca Malaysia

The Engagement:

On 8 March 2017, Victor delivered a full-day CliftonStrengths Leadership Workshop for the Shared Services team from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), held in Malacca, Malaysia as part of the team's planning retreat. Twenty participants attended the session, facilitated by Victor alongside fellow Gallup-certified coach Mandy Lin.

The Context:

NTU's Shared Services team, spanning finance, operations, and administrative functions, needed a shared framework for understanding individual working styles and strengthening collaboration across a diverse team operating in a complex university environment.

The Approach:

Victor designed the day around team dynamics, helping participants understand how their individual CliftonStrengths talent themes shape the way they work and relate to one another. The session balanced structured learning with experiential activities, group coaching, facilitated discussions, and individual reflections. The design created high levels of participation and engagement throughout.

The retreat setting in Malacca provided an ideal environment for the team to step away from day-to-day operations and invest in genuine self-discovery and team understanding. Participant feedback noted an exceptionally high level of participation and engagement across the full day.

Outcomes:

Participants left with greater self-awareness, a clearer understanding of group dynamics across the Shared Services team, and practical insights for leveraging each other's strengths more intentionally in their work.
